Underwater Kingdom

In our literacy group, our learning has focused on the underwater kingdom.

An interesting thing about Great White Sharks is Great white sharks have about 300 teeth,people kill great white sharks for their fins.Great white's can reach speeds up to 24 km per hour,they can grow up to 6 cm and weigh up to 2200 kg's.

Penguins can dive up to 100 metres, they have a gland in the head that filters salt water and comes back out their nose with a sneeze,the snares crested penguin can climb trees,Hoiho or yellow-eyed penguin is on the $5 note.

Marine Reserves are important because they provide a safe home for the marine wildlife.

I think the Lost City of Atlantis is not real because there's no actual proof that it is real.

The sea and me

 

In our literacy group, our learning has focused on the sea.

An interesting thing about dolphins is they sleep with one eye closed which keeps only half of their brain running.

Marine Biologists study the ocean.

Shellfish are important to the sea because they are food for others and they filter the water.

Seaweed is amazing because in New Zealand there around 850 species of seaweed and we can eat it.

What I did in the holidays

 DAY 1.     On day 1 of the holidays I was so sick with a bad cold. It was horrible and it lasted for 4 days but I still played pixel gun 3d every day.

DAY 3.      On day 3 of the holidays me and my mum went to Napier to stay with my Nan and Pop. We stayed for about 4 days I watched TV and that's about it.                                                                                                      

DAY 7.      On day 7 of the holidays me and my mum came back from Napier and when we got back I watched a TV show called Kong King Of The Apes on Netflix.

WEEK 2 DAY 1   I just played pixel gun 3d all day and got 5 victories.

WEEK 2 DAY 4   On week 2 day 4 I went to my friend's birthday. First we went to McDonald's and I got a happy meal.Then we went to the $2 shop.After that we went to the movies and watched Space Jam.Porky pig rapped and Rick was in the movie too.

REST OF THE DAYS   I played video games and watched Netflix and I watched SIREN HEAD!
